A group of British school business officials, referred to as "bursars" in Great Britain, recently visited Michigan and MSBO. As part of their trip they presented information on the British system, including a discussion on how school business professionals do their job. MSBO members talked about their job duties and their role and responsibilities in strategic leadership in their school districts.
The visit was part of an exchange program through the International Leadership Learning Programme (ILLP). The ILLP, an educational exchange program based in the United Kingdom, offers the opportunity for educational leaders to reflect upon leadership in an international context and investigate a particular leadership theme pertinent to school and system wide development.
