ASBO International has announced that
- Laure Fiero, Finance Director, Western School District & Springport Public Schools;
- Michael Klosowski, Chief Financial Officer, Elkton-Pigeon Bay Port Laker Schools; and
- Heather Roszkowski, Accounting Supervisor, Wayland Union Schools
received ASBO 2009 Bridges to the Future Scholarships.
The scholarship, sponsored by MetLife, assists in defraying the costs to attend ASBO’s 95th Annual Meeting, October 23-26, 2009, in Chicago, IL. The scholarship program provides a wonderful opportunity for new and aspiring school business officials to network with colleagues, participate in professional development, and explore the variety of school business management resources ASBO International offers. Recipients will also have the opportunity to attend the Pre-conference workshop and networking luncheon at ASBO’s annual meeting. They will also receive free access to ASBO’s Live Learning Center that will capture more than 75 hours of professional development from the 2009 Annual Meeting.
There were more than forty applications this year, making it a difficult task for the selection committee to choose this year’s twenty recipients. Congratulations!
